- How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?
- The music video my group and I produced coneys various different conventions compared to other films that commonly do not. The video used conventions such as a musical, family, and comedy. The video does not generally represent any issues but it does in fact show that during the holiday times people are able to come together and enjoy their time collectively.
2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?
-It engages with audiences by telling a joyous story of a holidays everyone knows and loves. The video would be able to be shown during holiday times when people would like a laugh and smile while also wanting to sing along to a song everyone once again knows and loves.
3. How did your production skills develop throughout this project?
- Compared to the last project and from the beginning of this project to the end I feel as everything was a lot more organized and not only I, but everyone in my group was very on top of our work.
4. How did you integrate technologies - software, hardware and online in this project?
- We integrated different online techniques and software. This can be seen in the effects, transitions, and editing that was done throughout the video. An example of this is when the scene of santa “checking his list”. It cuts to a scene with a holiday transition on between. In the corners it can also be seen that different decals were included to further express the idea that he was in fact “making a list and checking it twice”.
